Open House – Saturday, April 6th – 8:00am at the Brookline Teen Center
Dreamfar High School Marathon would like to share an exciting opportunity with you, your staff and your students.
Please join us for an Open House like no other…. On Saturday, April 6th at 8:00am at the Brookline Teen Center (40 Aspinwall Ave.) We invite you to learn about the gifts of the marathon and what participating in Dreamfar is all about!
We have been serving high school students in Massachusetts for 11 years and have seen first-hand how our program has truly changed the lives of so many youth. We are expanding our program to reach more students.
No running experience necessary to join us for the Open House. In fact, no running experience to participate in the program. While it is true, our students run marathons, we are so much more than a running program. We are about community and building relationships. We are dedicated to providing a safe place where students of all abilities can test their physical, mental, and emotional limits. We help students set and achieve realistic goals while transferring life lessons from their marathon training to their school and personal lives.
Dreamfar is open to any student looking for a place to belong. There are no try-outs, no cuts, no running experience necessary. Students come from diverse athletic, academic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds. They connect with each other and volunteer mentors from the community through their training together.
The following quote from one of our students says a lot about who we are and what we do: “They saw the importance in me that I couldn’t see in myself.”
Please check out this brief clip from Principal Joel Stembridge (Newton South High) where he talks about Finding Success, through Dreamfar. http://tinyurl.com/PrincipalNewtonSouth
Please invite colleagues and students – The Open House will be an actual training run for the students and mentors who are currently enrolled in the program and a chance for us to share the magic that happens at our training runs with you!
Kindly RSVP by March 29th for our Open House at http://tinyurl.com/DreamfarOpenHouse
